Iceland Cabins
Siggi wanted to share his Iceland—beyond the tour buses and photo stops. The vision was straightforward: a small network of cabins for travellers who wanted a closer, slower experience of the land.
More comfortable than a backpackers, but not a luxury lodge. Just enough warmth, shelter, and solitude to make the trip feel real.
Simple shelter in extraordinary places
We listened to Siggi’s stories and designed something that would work for Iceland’s landscape, climate, and logistics. The A-frame cabin is part-prefabricated, which means it can be delivered and installed in remote locations with minimal disruption. Big windows face the northern lights. The layout balances solitude with the possibility of shared experience—close enough to connect, far enough to breathe.
It’s simple, functional, and tough enough for Iceland.
Within reach, without excess
The cabins haven’t been built yet, but the path is clear.
The idea is light on the land, strong in spirit.
We’re proud to have helped shape a concept that lets visitors get closer to the country, without getting in its way. Sometimes the real work is in the thinking—and this one reminded us just how much a place can shape a project.
